MEET DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE TARAL PATEL
Taral Patel grew up in Fort Bend, went to school in Fort Bend, and has served Fort Bend. He has a proven track record of working for the people to turn bold ideas into real results since 2008 when he first joined progressive organizing with the Fort Bend Democratic Party. Since then, he helped lead our county successfully through numerous flooding incidents, the COVID-19 pandemic, Winter Storm Uri and electric grid failure, droughts, and other major emergencies to emerge stronger and more united than ever before.
TARAL will start his work by tackling these 5 priorities TO DELIVER IMMEDIATE RESULTS TO FORT BEND:
SLASH TOLL ROAD FEES
The cost of living has increased. The last thing someone needs to do is worry about toll road fees. That's why Taral is fighting to reduce and freeze these fees from constantly increasing.
INCREASE ACCESS & TRANSPARENCY IN BUDGETING
Our residents deserve to be heard in the budgetary process. This is why Taral will fight to ensure that the community can directly influence what the County Budget addresses.
EXPAND PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAMS
Taral supports our first responders and the county's safety budget. He knows that by doing so, our first responders can get better pay, training, equipment, and professional development opportunities.
FIX POTHOLES WITHIN 24 HOURS
Unfilled potholes and aging infrastructure has become a nuisance on our roads, causing more damage to our cars and people. Taral will implement modern solutions like a 311 reporting program to fix all reported potholes in 24 hours.
MAKE FORT BEND 100% SUSTAINABLE
The cost of fuel and utilities have driven up our daily costs. Taral will fight to reduce utility costs, bring good paying jobs, and implement clean energy projects in Fort Bend County.
